Vishal Bhardwaj and Shaunak Sen to Lead New India Co-Production Fund

A new co-production fund aimed at supporting emerging independent filmmakers in India has been established, featuring a budget of INR 40 lakh (approximately $42,000). This initiative is a collaboration between Humans of Cinema and Safarnaama Pictures, designed to foster creativity and provide resources for feature films.

Prominent filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj and Oscar-nominated director Shaunak Sen will serve as mentors for the fund. In addition to his mentorship role, Sen will also take on the position of executive director, guiding the fund's initiatives and supporting filmmakers in their creative endeavors. This initiative represents a significant step toward enhancing the landscape of independent cinema in India.
