The NBA is coming to Las Vegas, and a poker legend may have revealed the pending franchise's nickname during the No Gamble, No Future_ livestream Saturday on PokerGO.

Phil Hellmuth, a Poker Hall of Famer and avid investor, competed in the high-stakes poker game against fellow prominent pros such as Shaun Deeb, Alan Keating, Chris Moneymaker, Erick Lindgren, and Tom Dwan.

During that $100/$200 no-limit hold'em game, which included a unique "card reveal" feature players could use to see one card an opponent held, Hellmuth dropped some news that will be of interest to sports fans in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas has become one of the best sports towns in the country, adding the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders, NHL's Vegas Golden Knights, and the WNBA's Las Vegas Aces, all within the past nine years. There will be a fourth major pro sports team in Sin City in 2028 when the MLB's Oakland Athletics, a team currently playing in Sacramento, come to town. Stadium construction at the old Tropicana site on the Strip began last year.

The only major pro league left is the NBA, and that is expected to happen within the next couple of years after all 30 league owners in March approved exploring expansion in Las Vegas and Seattle. No owner for the pending NBA franchise has been determined, and neither has a location. But Hellmuth, last week, disclosed on X that his pal Jared Kahn, is among those bidding on purchasing the first NBA franchise in Las Vegas.

Hellmuth, a BetRivers Casino ambassador, also wrote in the tweet that he'll do his part in helping Kahn win the bid. The 17-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner, on Saturday, then shared some further details about the group's plans during No Gamble, No Future_.

"If we win and we have the best location, it's going to be called the Las Vegas Stealth," Hellmuth told his opponents, referring to the team name his group of investors decided.

Expected valuations for the franchise range from $7 billion and $10 billion, according to ESPN. Some potential opposing bidders include Los Angeles Lakers Hall of Famer Magic Johnson and Golden Knights owner Bill Foley.

"That's a good name," Keating responded to the Stealth team nickname.

Hellmuth didn't disclose the exact proposed location for the potential NBA team, but did hint he would be able to view it from his new Las Vegas Strip pad. The poker legend doubled up early during the No Gamble, No Future livestream, but started playing tight after the big hand, which led to criticism from his buddy and new NGNF commentator Nick Wright.
