Independent Filmmakers Association of India launched to boost indie cinema

More than 120 Indian filmmakers and producers have come together to form the Independent Filmmakers Association of India (IFAI), a not-for-profit collective aimed at enhancing theatrical access, distribution pathways, and streaming visibility for independent cinema in India. This initiative seeks to address the challenges faced by the country's indie film sector.

The IFAI made its formal public debut at the Cannes Film Festival, signaling a significant step for independent filmmakers in India.
