Jennifer loves TV, especially science fiction. She also loves late-night talk shows, due to her insomnia. Alien: Earth is definitely one of her favorite shows, and she jumps on any chance she gets to write about it. Even on her days off, she will claim an Alien Earth article if one is available.

Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are two of her favorite late-night hosts, and Conan O'Brien before he left his show.

Her Alien: Earth coverage for ScreenRant is by far the work that she is most proud of so far.

She was initially a finance and political editor, but her passion for pop culture convinced her to transition into entertainment journalism.

Netflix’s new action film Apex_** was an instant hit, but the script was initially supposed to go in a very different direction.

_Apex _is a Netflix survival drama starring Charlize Theron, who plays Sasha, a rock climber who is dealing with a lot of internal problems. She finds herself forced into a deadly situation when she is targeted in the wilderness with minimal resources by a serial killer named Ben, who is portrayed by Taron Egerton. The film is directed by Baltasar Kormákur.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the writer behind Apex, Jeremy Robbins, said an entire subplot was completely removed from the thriller. He revealed that the lead character was supposed to receive outside help from a ranger. However, that idea was thrown out the window to make the movie more intense.

He further elaborated that the decision wasn’t just about removing a secondary character. It was also the creative team's way of making the film as raw as possible. They wanted Sasha to rely solely on her own abilities to save herself without the help of someone else. As a result, the plot became more contained, placing her in a far more dangerous situation.

Robbins added that these revisions went beyond just changing Apex's storyline and Sasha’s journey. In earlier drafts, the character was equipped with standard climbing gear, including specialized shoes designed to help her in the environment she was in. But as the script evolved, even those elements were reconsidered. Ultimately, they chose to remove anything that might make her situation easier, forcing her to confront everything with next to nothing. He explained how both of the stars were also supportive of this decision.

Robbins stated that by cutting an entire plotline and reworking the narrative, the creative team has crafted a story that is far more intense. The writer revealed that these changes allowed Apex to challenge its protagonist and kept the viewers on the edge of their seats.
