WPN Players Can Request ScreenShield Protection
Any Winning Poker Network player can ask for ScreenShield, the added table-protection feature now available on ACR Poker. It is intended to keep protected information, including hole cards, from being captured or shared through the external methods it covers, while players continue to see and use their tables normally.
ScreenShield is a defensive layer, not a complete answer to online poker integrity threats. It does not replace reviews of suspicious play, account activity or prohibited software.
Protection without changing normal play
WPN’s approach is to keep information shown at the table with the player. When ScreenShield is active, the poker client continues to operate as usual, while covered capture and sharing methods are blocked from reproducing protected WPN table content.
The feature arrives amid wider concern following a recent superuser scandal. The timing also coincides with ACR Poker’s Venom events and WSOP Paradise satellites, when maintaining confidence in online games is especially important. Players can find broader context on tools for detecting suspicious poker activity, though ScreenShield addresses a different part of the security picture.

WPN contacted players on Tuesday, September 29, whose devices met its criteria for software with remote-access or screen-control capabilities, and enabled ScreenShield on those accounts as a precaution. Contact did not mean that a player was suspected of cheating or that a device had been compromised: remote-access software also serves legitimate purposes, including technical support and workplace collaboration.
Requesting ScreenShield and wider integrity work
Protection is not automatically active for every account because streaming, recording, coaching and screen sharing are legitimate activities for some players. Any WPN player can request activation by emailing; activation may take up to 48 hours. Players who need those functions can also discuss their requirements with Support.
WPN is developing an option to switch ScreenShield on or off inside the poker client, but that control is not available yet. The network says its review found no compromise of its systems, poker software or official downloads, while its Game Integrity team continues to investigate relevant player and account activity.
That work remains distinct from ACR Poker’s cooperation with GTO Wizard, which supports checks into whether hands or situations played on ACR were solved using the tool. The partners are working toward broader final-table analysis, with coverage of every ACR final table a future goal rather than a current claim. As with security risks involving poker-related software, the response depends on more than one defensive measure.
Sharing the approach with other operators
WPN is sharing information about ScreenShield with other online poker operators so they can assess whether similar protection could suit their platforms. That outreach does not mean those operators have adopted the feature.
Ты знал, что это hero call. Почему не сделал?
For ACR players, the immediate option is to request an additional barrier around sensitive table information and speak with Support about legitimate recording or streaming needs. WPN says it will continue scanning for relevant software and applying protection when its criteria are met; ScreenShield sits alongside, rather than replacing, its investigations and other integrity checks, including operator action in response to cheating concerns.
