U.S. stock futures were subdued early Wednesday as Wall Street took a breather after all three major indexes notched fresh record closes during the previous session. Also, geopolitical risks and fresh trade tensions are beginning to weigh on sentiment.
Reports suggest fresh attacks between the U.S. and Iran. U.S. Central Command said American forces intercepted Iranian missiles and drones and conducted defensive strikes on Qeshm Island. However, President Donald Trump on Tuesday reiterated that talks were “ongoing” between Washington and Tehran.

As of 4:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday: Dow futures fell 0.3%, Nasdaq and S&P 500 futures were flat, and Russell 2000 futures declined 0.4%.
Retail sentiment toward the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), an exchange-traded fund that tracks the S&P 500 Index, remained in ‘bullish’ territory, while the Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) ETF, which tracks the Nasdaq-100 Index, has remained ‘neutral’.

**Palo Alto Networks (PANW) **stock fell 4% in early premarket trade despite beating revenue expectations and reporting strong demand for its AI-powered security offerings.
Broadcom (AVGO) and CrowdStrike (CRWD) are among the closely watched stocks ahead of their earnings report after Wednesday's close.
**Microsoft (MSFT) **remained subdued in early premarket trading despite unveiling its new quantum computing chip and expanding AI initiatives at its Build developer conference.
**Palantir (PLTR) **remained under pressure in early premarket trading. Investors are awaiting the company's annual shareholder meeting for fresh catalysts, while the ‘Big Short’ investor Michael Burry reiterated his bearish view, arguing the stock sits at a technical crossroads after a massive rally over the past year.
**Alibaba (BABA) **has reportedly announced that its Qwen AI platform will allow third-party brands to launch conversational AI agents.

**AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) **gained retail attention after regulatory filings showed executives retained substantial holdings following restricted stock vesting events, which investors interpreted as a vote of confidence.
**Astrotech Corp (ASTC) **shares have risen another 4% in early premarket trading as retail investors remain excited about its lunar mining, AI infrastructure, and quantum computing ambitions. However, a recent short report labeled the stock "fundamentally uninvestable" and warned of significant downside risks.
**Shopify (SHOP) **gained marginally after authorizing an additional $3 billion share repurchase program, increasing total buyback authorization to $5 billion.
**GameStop (GME) **continued its gains, with an 8% surge in early premarket trade after reporting quarterly results and announcing a $2 billion share repurchase authorization.
**Ford (F): **NHTSA announced a recall of 419,967 U.S. vehicles due to faulty seat belt retractors that increase the risk of injury in crashes.
XOS Inc (XOS) shares surged 200% in early premarket trade. Late Tuesday, the battery company launched a 2.5MWh energy storage and power supply solution, serving as a substitute for running data centers.
Meanwhile, **Bitcoin **fell to its lowest level since February, dropping below $66,000 as investors continued rotating capital toward equities.
Other tickers trending on **Stocktwits **at the time of writing included Marvell Technologies (MRVL), BlackBerry (BB), Gorilla Technologies (GRRR), and Coherent Corp (COHR).
Other Catalysts To Watch
On the economic front, investors are tracking the release of the ADP private payrolls report for May, along with April factory orders and the ISM Services PMI, to gauge the Federal Reserve’s next policy move.
On earnings radar, watch out for quarterly reports from Macy's (M), Medtronic (MDT), Thor Industries (THO) and Ollie's Bargain Outlet (OLLI) before the bell. Lululemon (LULU), C3.ai (AI) and ChargePoint (CHPT) are among others reporting after market close.
